F4 Bonding Liquid is a water based, penetrating, bonding and stabilising liquid / sealer for interior and exterior use on powdery, friable and very porous new and weathered substrates such as lime wash, old paint, new friable or porous plaster and fillers. Once the F4 Bonding Liquid has done its job these areas can be over-coated with a range of F4 Paints’ water based decorative products.
- The product penetrates deep into the substrate and stabilizes it.
- Based on a resin emulsion and can therefore be diluted with water, which makes it a very cost effective product.
- The product has a good alkaline resistance and can be used on objects where aggressive minerals are present.
- Once sealed can be top coated with a wide range of F4 Paints’ waterbased products.

Description
- This product has an excellent penetration ability which allows it to permeate deep into the substrate and strengthen it.
- Clean up with water.

Suitability
- Interior and exterior use.
- New or weathered plaster, hard-board and fibre cement walls.
- Powdery, friable, weathered, previously painted areas.
- Lime wash.
Surface Preparation – Uncoated dry porous concrete surfaces, raw plaster, precast, uncoated, weathered or new fibre cement surfaces
- Remove dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
- Fill and seal all visible cracks with crack filler
- Apply one coat of the product to cover the crack filler
- Sand well and remove dust
Surface Preparation – Previously painted surfaces and precast
- Remove all loose, flaking and bubbling paint.
- Remove all dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth.
- Lime wash coated walls: remove lime wash as far as possible with scraper blades and / or soft wire or hard fibre brushes but be careful not to damage the plaster.
- Allow to dry.
- Fill and seal all visible cracks with crack filler
- Apply one coat of the product to cover the crack filler
- Sand well and remove dust.
- Apply F4 Paints Bonding Liquid
